Much has been written about employee engagement imploring leaders to ignite this behaviour within their employees. Sometimes, the simple answer of implementing better communication’ glosses over the underlying deeper issues to hand.
We’ve learned that many behaviors are the result of habit.
To change a behavior, you have to over-lay old habits with new routines. This takes time and effort and a willingness to grow and change.
And we know any change can be fearful, not just for those who have been in a particular job for years, but for anyone.

I agree, all behaviors come from habits that we have however for leaders to achieve success they have to start adding and growing leadership qualities, even if it means changing habits and facing the fears to the change.
Any change brings up fears bec we have settled into what is comfortable and what we know. We have adapted. So change can bring new fears bec the change may well show up our inadequacies.
Employee Engagement & Personal Success can be achieved by taking great interest in your employees and making them feel like they belong. This is a good way of igniting worker engagement.
Personal success comes from increased confidence. Employee engagement comes from feeling secure in a job. So, part of what leadership is all about is helping employees get to that point.
Employee engagement can be difficult to achieve at times. However, with the five tips provided, this task becomes much easier. I particularly like the idea of de-stressing.
Stress is at the basis of ALL dis-ease, mentally, emotionally and physically. People have trained themselves to respond to stress in a certain way. It has become a habit . Employee dis-engagement results from feelings of fear and inadequacy. They do not want to be found out. So, part of the leadership role is to allay those fears and instill confidence.

In my studied opinion about 87% of workers are actually in the wrong job or role within their companies. So, what that means is that they are constantly struggling against skills they do not have and therefore they become frustrated and inefficient.
